Kaivyn Lael is a eighteen year old Indie/ R&B artist born and raised on the east side of Chicago. Kaivyn, born Prince Depillar started singing at the young age of four and continued to perfect his craft in the stands of Bethlehem Temple Church singing hymns in the church choir. With influences like Prince, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, Kaiyvn can’t help but make unbelievably soulful and passionate music. With every song and every performance Kaivyn leaves the audience with a piece of himself, a piece he hopes they’ll cherish forever. Kaiyvn uses music as a tool to express his pain and to uplift people who may have endured the same struggles he has. At only seventeen, Kaivyn has performed with Grammy award winning “Soul Children of Chicago”. Kaivyn has also sang for former first lady, Michelle Obama. His song “Deja Vu” was featured on Harold Washington Public Library YOUmedia’s mixtape and he’s currently working on his new EP entitled “Ambivert” set to be released in 2021. Kaivyn is just beginning and soon he’ll be a name no ones forget.
